Programs in Crisis Without Increase in State Funding After 8 Years

Governor Jerry Brown’s Office needs to hear from you. The State cannot continue to ignore community programs that provide services to people with developmental disabilities! It is not humane to force providers to continue providing the same services without an increase for 8+ years. It is a cost savings to taxpayers and and investment to provide decent rates to community services. Why continue to pay $504,000+ per person a year to institutionalize someone, when spending an average of $75,000 per person a year to provide services in the community? Invest in quality care for less!

It’s not over yet… We’re still fighting to fund regional centers and community programs for Californians with developmental disabilities!!! Here’s how you can make your voice heard: http://arcanet.org/10-advocacy-plan/keepthepromise.html
