Description

Our custom-made ornament of the California State Capitol Building includes the traditional Capitol Christmas tree. The California Capitol hosts an annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony in December. The tree, a large evergreen, is decorated with thousands of lights and ornaments, many of which are crafted by children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2024, the tree included ornaments made by artists with disabilities from DDSO’s Short Center North art studios.
