Fund a need:  Help us keep our gym open!

Our gym should be one of the busiest rooms we have. It is a space where participants gather for craft fairs, community events, art displays, parties, physical education, yoga, dances, games, Snack Street, and so much more. The air conditioning has failed and in Sacramento summers, a gym without air conditioning is a gym no one can use. The state will not allow us to hold events in the gym next summer until we install 2 new AC units.

DDSO is seeking a sponsor to provide $5,000 in matching funds for our Giving Tuesday fundraiser (if you know a potential sponsor, please contact stacey@ddso.org for more information). Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we’ve already raised $5,000 toward our matching fund goal of $10,000!

On December 1st, here is where you come in… every gift to this page will be matched dollar for dollar. Help us raise $10,000 that day and the match turns it into $20,000 for the gym! Your gift is tax-deductible, and you’ll receive a special thank you card illustrated with art by an artist with disabilities receiving program services at DDSO.
