Achievement Development & Care (ADC) provides services to adults in Sacramento with severe and profound developmental disabilities who are referred by the Alta California Regional Center. As a program of DDSO we are committed to providing a patient, supportive, and caring atmosphere in which students can best develop personal and meaningful skills which will enhance the quality of their lives. ADC primarily focuses on assisting clients in developing communication skills, gaining their own voice, and speaking up about how they wish to live their lives. We assist clients with self-advocacy, community integration, self-care, personal growth, and achieving personal volunteer and employment goals. Through the “Pilot Project”, ADC employs students who package propellers for a local company that sells remote control airplane propellers internationally. ADC staff members work hard each day to maintain or improve client health and help clients achieve their desired goals.
