Description
This ceramic lion head is a reproduction of the original architectural detail that can still be found on the second floor of the Capitol Building above what was the entrance to the previous East Annex. The original mold was gifted to the museum’s volunteer coordinator (from 1987 to 1993) in 1988 by one of the many artisans who worked on the Restoration Project from 1975 to 1981. An artist herself, she created this reproduction exclusively for the museum store. 5” high X 4 ½” wide X 2” deep
