Full color, lacquered brass ornament featuring the California Golden poppy. Gift boxed.
Text on back of box: The California golden poppy (Eschscholzia californica) was made the official state flower in 1903. It grows in bushy clumps up to 2 feet tall and wide. Poppies bloom from spring to early summer and often cover wide valleys, fields, roadsides, and hillsides with a spectacular orange carpet. They are drought resistant and grow best in full sun. April 6 of each year is the officially designated California Poppy Day.
Available exclusively at the museum store. Ornament is 2 ½” diameter, gift box is 4 ½” high X 3 ½” wide X ¾” deep.
