Ger earned a Bachelors in Gerontology from CSUS. She joined DDSO in 2012 and has a variety of experience working with young adults on the Autism spectrum in a residential school, skilled nursing facility, and behavioral management adult day program.
It is important to her to have the participants to continue to make the choice they want and to do things for themselves as much as they can to maintain their independence.
“Coming to program is something that these participants look forward to every day. We are like a family to them and they are happy to be at program. This is where the participants get one on one time with the staff and that’s what they need. This motivates me to be here every day to see them smile and to strive for growth and independence.”
