We love our Direct Support Professionals at DDSO!

DDSO serves about 400 people with developmental disabilities each month, across three campuses. None of that would be possible without the loving work of our Direct Support Professionals (DSP)! They help make sure classes are running smoothly, new art projects are being taught and that all our clients have access to the care and support they need to reach their goals. Here is a great quote from Liz Davis, Program Director for DDSO’s Achievement, Development & Care.

The DSPs at ADC have an incredible job.  They are teacher, role model and care giver.  Their job is incredibly important each and every day.  People could not eat, learn a new skill, be able to get out of their wheelchairs, go for a walk outside or even be able to use the restroom without them.  It is a thankless and never-ending job that must be done each and every day and should be done with pride and joy.  It is a job that is important to do whether anyone realizes it or not.  It is a job that, while not valued in this society, nonetheless raises our humanity as a whole and that should not be taken for granted.

Veronica Green, Program Director of Transitions for Tomorrow (T2) also shares “the T2 staff are dedicated in providing service and success for our clients. They play the critical role of supporting and assisting clients. Together everyone achieves more!”

Thank you to our wonderful staff!
