BIG Day of Giving is coming! BIG Day of Giving is coming!
Why are we so excited at DDSO about May 3rd? It’s the BIG Day of Giving, part of a National Day of Giving called Give Local America. For the past two years, the BIG Day of Giving has rallied our community in raising nearly $9 million from over 36,000 donors from all over our region, the state, the country and the world! From midnight to midnight, over 570 nonprofits all over the Sacramento region will join forces to raise six million dollars.
Your donations impact lives every day of the year, but on May 3rd, they will receive a pro-rated boost from incentive pool funds. In addition to the boost, there will be “prizes” for winning contests, such as the first donation at midnight, or the most donations between midnight and 6 AM. Your dollars go farther!
Why Choose DDSO?
DDSO (Developmental Disabilities Service Organization) is an award-winning nonprofit that annually provides 350 adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to experience independence, job training, employment, visual and performing arts, social interaction, daily living skill development, and community inclusion. Alongside our donors and supporters, we fight cruelty, isolation and neglect by providing safe and stimulating environments that build confidence, creativity, and social connection. DDSO is the premier arts organization in the region for adults with developmental disabilities. By including giving $25 or more on the Big Day of Giving, you will ensure that these often overlooked members of our society get the support, education, and compassion they depend on.
