Uncork for the Arts 2016 was a fun-filled night of unique art, wine, and community. Guests were welcomed with live piano music by the talented Ellen Boudreaux as they arrived, enjoyed fruit and cheese platters, and shopped art displays on the patio.

We can’t thank enough the many generous volunteers who made this event a success.
Just a handful of some of our amazing volunteers!
Yvonne Soto, CEO, presenting Steve Arita from our hosting sponsor, Chevron, with a piece of art by Alan Short Center artist John Ezell.
The evening continued with a wine pairing dinner featuring wines by Lago di Merlo Vineyards and McNab Ridge winery. The wine was presented by Frank Merlo who engaged the audience by calling upon guests to share their favorite wine and food pairings.
David was an excellent host of the live auction which featured work by artists from Short Center South, Short Center North, and the Alan Short Center. In addition to art pieces, our programs sold a promotional video advertisement produced by the award winning E+ productions and a Garden Basket of the Month subscription grown by the Alan Short Center.
The evening concluded with an awards ceremony recognizing the achievements of this year’s remarkable honorees. Co-Emcees Dennis Curry, E+ Program Director, and Sam Stanovic, E+ Client were the perfect pair to introduce each honoree and share their stories.
